Opinion Outpost gives everyday consumers the opportunities to participate in online surveys and product tests in exchange for cash rewards and gift cards.

Signing up is free and to do so, simply enter your name, date of birth, zip code and email address on the registration form on their website. After that, you’ll be prompted to confirm your email address before you’re able to begin answering surveys.

Take Surveys and More

Once you've fully registered, you’ll see a “Surveys” link on your main account dashboard. This will take you to your list of available surveys. You can choose to have surveys emailed to you if you prefer.

You also have the option to add additional information (via profile surveys) to help Opinion Outpost match you with more relevant surveys to you.

You don't have to wait long to get rewarded - if you take a survey worth 50 points, you'll already have enough to redeem a $5 Amazon.com gift card. The following reward options are offered on the site in exchange for participating:

• PayPal payments - with only 100 points (worth $10/£5), you can request that a PayPal payment be made to your account. Bear in mind that only verified PayPal accounts will qualify for payment.
• Amazon e-vouchers - with just 50 points ($5) in your account, you can request an Amazon.com e-gift code.
• Apple Store gift cards - with 100 points ($10) sitting in your account, you can request an app store / iTunes gift card.
• Retail gift cards - with 100 points ($10) in your account, you can receive a gift card to Nike, Domino’s Pizza, The Home Depot, CVS, Chili’s 3-Choice and more.

Note that rewards will vary slightly by country. For example, Air Miles Reward Miles are available to Canadian members only (receive 50 Air Miles for 100 Opinion Outpost points).

Super-Fast Rewards Delivery

Opinion Outpost is very unique in that rewards are often delivered instantly after requesting them. It's uncommon to have to wait more than a few minutes/hours to receive a PayPal payment or e-gift card that you've requested, though technically they advertise a 3 day rewards processing period.

Take Surveys Often

Paid surveys will be sent to you on a regular basis. You can also visit the website, log in and find a list of available surveys, giving you plenty of chances to make cash. A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and the number of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Qualifying Questions

Before you begin your chosen survey, you may have to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. These may appear to be irrelevant to the topic of the survey itself, but are a way for researchers to ensure they're receiving responses from the people they're looking for answers from. Sometimes, you’ll be disqualified from taking the survey after answering these, however there will usually be other surveys available for you to take.

Opinion Outpost App

Opinion Outpost does not offer a mobile app. Although most of their surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone, you will still need to access them via your e-mail, or by logging into the website from your phone.

Badges

Opinion Output offers ‘Badges’, which essentially serve as loyalty bonuses. You will start out with a Bronze membership and have the chance to upgrade to Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond based on how active you are on the website and how complete your profile is.

As your badge levels increase, additional achievement points are awarded, which can be found on your Survey History page. These will show up as 'community achievement'. Bear in mind that you can be downgraded to a lower tier badge if you don’t remain active on the website.

Quarterly Chances to Win $10,000

If you are in the USA and you get disqualified from a survey, participate in a survey, or exchange your valuable points for an entry, you will have a chance to win $10,000 in a quarterly cash draw. That means that $40,000 in total is awarded to 4 lucky members every year! If you are in Canada, there are also sweepstakes available in the form of 4 quarterly draws worth $1,250 each ($5,000 yearly).

Refer Your Friends to Earn More

Opinion Outpost's referral program will award you $1.00 every time you refer a friend using your custom link and they complete at least one survey. Earn up to $5.00 in total. Find the "refer a friend" tab when you log into your account to grab your custom referral link to share with friends or extended family members (available to US panelists only).

Is Opinion Outpost Legit?

To start I had a lot of fun with these surveys. The problem came when I requested a payment. First they said my account was suspended due to operating my account from another country. I got in touch to clear the matter up, and was then pointed to their terms and conditions. This is where I was impolitely told that they needed no reason to close my account and my query was dismissed also impolitely.

I watched a one hour video and then got disqualified and when I wrote in about the $10 research survey opinion outpost gave me $2.50 for spending so much time on the survey. I was hoping for half the survey amount but the incentive I got and the response was satisfactory. So far they are a good site. Hope it stays that way.

It appears, judging by recent comments left on this forum, that I am not alone in thinking that there is something funny going on with Opinion Outpost. I'm regularly getting email invitations to take a survey to find the 'required number of responses has been met' even though I've clicked through within seconds of receiving the email. This never used to happen. And now I get an email to say the privacy policy has changed. It tells me basically that if I don't like it, I can delete my account. I don't know if I like it or not as it's written in 'legalese' but may as well be in martian for all the sense it makes to me. I'm also told that I am deemed to have accepted the changes if I use their 'services' after the 8th May. I received the notification on the 9th, having logged in yesterday. This isn't the fun market research site it used to be. I think I'll build enough points for my next cash out and then drop this one. There are plenty of others out there.

JOINED OPINION OUTPOST OVER A YEAR AGO AND AT THAT TIME QUALIFIED FOR JUST ABOUT ALL THE SURVEYS, NOW IT MAY BE ONE IN TEN AND I'M GOING TO UN SUBSCRIBE AFTER I RECEIVE MY LAST REWARDS IT'S JUST BECOME A WASTE OF TIME, WORK ON SURVEY FOR UP TO 15 MINUTES GET TO THE END AND RECEIVE A DID NOT QUALIFY MESSAGE, FEELS A LITTLE LIKE A RIP OFF TO ME. I just rejoined Opinion Outpost and received 1 whole point for joining and about a 2 dozen surveys since I have taken 6 and screened out at the end of survey and the others I was just screened out from the start. My opinion of this site has not changed an I don't know who keeps recommending them. I also think they may be just a little age biased. but I get no response from them , so I will post this to FACEBOOK AND TWITTER

Fun surveys, easy to do. Completion gives points to redeem for cash, other rewards. Link to PayPal for cash rewards. I had an issue while trying to redeem points; Opinion Outpost Helpdesk quickly responded. Their email walked me through everything in order to correct the problem, which it did. I have only been a member for 3 weeks and am looking forward to more surveys and more $$$!
