Earn Cash for Completing Surveys

With just $5 worth of survey earnings (500 points), you can 'cash out' your points balance for two cash options:

  • PayPal - receive an instant PayPal payment by selecting this rewards option. Note that you must redeem your full points balance when selecting PayPal for reward payments.
  • Bank transfer (USA only) - If you live in the USA, you can choose to receive a bank transfer payment. Bank transfers are handled by a third-party partner and take 3-4 business days to complete and are a safe way to receive your money.
Points Value: 500 points = $5.00. 1 Survey Junkie point therefore equals 1 cent.

Choose a Gift Card Instead

If you live in the USA, you can also choose to redeem your points for e-gift cards. e-gift cards are available in denominations of $5, $10, $15, $20, $25 and $50. You can choose from major retailers including Amazon, Target, Walmart, Sephora, Groupon, Apple and Starbucks. You can also select a pre-paid Visa card.

Earn Points for Disqualifications

If you attempt to complete a survey but get disqualified before you're able to finish it, Survey Junkie will still credit your account with 2-3 points. Payouts for surveys themselves vary and will depend on the length of the survey, how difficult it is to qualify, as well as other criteria.

To increase your chances of qualifying for a survey, look for surveys that have green diamonds. These indicate surveys that you are most likely to be able to successfully complete. Red diamonds on the other hand, may carry higher payouts, but will have the lowest chance of being able to complete.

Complete Profile Surveys to Earn Points and Get Better Matched

Survey Junkie has numerous profile surveys available to members in their account dashboards. Complete these profilers to earn 10-50 points for each completion, and benefit from being better matched to future surveys.

Easy to use and they payout quickly once you reach $5.00.

Best Survey Forum

April 22, 2020 by Sonya from United States

I have only been with Survey Junkie since November. I have been taking surveys for over 22 years. This is by far the best survey forum to take surveys and earn rewards. I am able to take surveys from Survey Junkie without being bounced from survey website to yet another site. If you don't qualify you get 2 or 3 points. Once you have 500 points you can cash in for a $5.00 gift card, paypal. or a bank transfer. I have only redeemed for amazon gift cards. Great Survey website!

The good gone bad

Survey Junkie used to be one of my go to sites but not anymore. They serve up "Junkie" surveys now.

Some Benefits, A Number of Drawbacks

April 21, 2020 by Dee from United States

Survey Junkie can be consistent in many, for better or worse, yet inconsistent in others. Unlike many other survey sites, if you are consistent with taking surveys, you can actually get payouts. Some sites take a long time and thousands of points before you are able to actually cash out, but survey junkie, depending on much time you have, you can see a payout by the end of the week. Sometimes though, it can be frustrating when there is a glitch and you spend time taking a survey, click "Submit" and then you get 2 or 3 points, instead of say, 90 points. Contacting Survey Junkie will inevitably end up with someone unable to fully resolve the situation, other than ask for the I.D. number of the survey (which is a real problem if the survey disappeared from your Dashboard and it doesn't appear in your History log). I've found that Survey Junkie might award me "Bonus Points" as a courtesy but it really isn't good enough when I spent 25 minutes completing a survey for 90 points and through no fault of my own, the survey doesn't award me the points and survey gives me "Bonus Points" for less than half what I am entitled to. And unfortunately, this happens often. I wish there were a way to resolve this issue once and for all. Another critique I have is that points are often distributed unevenly. I've had some great surveys that take about 10 minutes and give 50 or 60 points and then some lengthy surveys that are twice as long give only 20 or 30 points. Huh??! I guess I'd like to see those issues sorted out the most. There are other issues, like the teasing survey on the Dashboard that when you click the link, you are automatically disqualified before you are even asked a single question. Also the survey that seems to have a dead link that does nowhere, not to mention Error pages that no one can resolve (the worst are the ones that happen when just after you have hit Submit upon completing your survey, talk about frustration). If you weigh all the pros and the cons, you can go into survey taking knowing what you're in for and not having unrealistic expectations. Sometimes though, you can get some very good surveys where you feel as if your opinion truly matters, like the ones administered by universities, non-profits and civic organizations. And the ones about food and personal items can be really fun too.
