Payment and Rewards

Earn e-Rewards

Earn Opinion Points/e-Rewards currency for taking surveys. Exchange your points for gift cards, magazine subscriptions, hotel reward points, and airline points. Choose from over 30 different retailers to redeem gift cards with, including Best Buy, CVS Pharmacy, Walmart, Macy's and more. You may redeem a gift card only once per quarter with most gift card options.

Prizes

e-Rewards can also be redeemed towards prizes. Many prizes come in the form of discounts towards purchasing products and services they provide.

Redeem Your e-Rewards Currency

In most cases, your account will be credited as soon as you complete a survey. However, in some cases the credit may take up to 7 days to appear on your account. Similarly, e-Rewards sends most electronic gift cards immediately upon request (within one hour). Most physical gift cards will be sent out within 4-6 weeks of redemption.

e-Rewards also requires mobile and landline verification in order to redeem your rewards. This verification helps you keep your rewards secure. For data security, they will need to verify your account with a valid US mobile or landline number in order to redeem your reward. Once you provide your number, you will receive a verification code via that number that you will need to enter in order to finalize the redemption process.

You can redeem your e-Rewards Currency/Opinion Points as soon as you accumulate enough to qualify for the reward you desire (the lowest gift card option is $10).

So far, so good

September 3, 2018 by Kat from United States

I hardly ever leave reviews for anything, but reading approximately 50 of these reviews about e-rewards compelled me to write this one.
I've been with e-rewards for about 2 years, sometimes not taking surveys for weeks at a time, but when I need my Starbucks card refilled I take all available surveys. My only complaint about e-rewards is that sometimes the screening for surveys can be as long as a survey itself, and then I'm told I don't qualify. It's annoying, but it's balanced out by the many surveys that are fair in time and pay well.
The many reviewers who said e-rewards closed their accounts for no reason really concerned me and I immediately cashed out for a Starbucks card, worried I would lose what I had earned. Maybe it might happen to me as well, that e-rewards closes my account for no discernible reason. I probably wouldn't be too happy about it if it happened, but so far I've been happy with e-rewards.
The main reason for this review is that I was angry with the reviewer who left a one-star review for e-rewards because she had amassed $1200 in e-rewards currency and wanted e-rewards to give her cash since she did not like the rewards offered. We can all see what the rewards are before we spend our time taking the surveys. If the rewards don't suit us, then there are plenty of other survey sites. I want my five-star review to balance out the mean one-star review by this person who knew what the rewards were before she took the surveys and is now disparaging e-rewards.

Forget this Panel!

August 22, 2018 by Beth from United States

This panel has been the worst to deal with. I have earned $1200 so far. Yes. $1200 . I have been unable to redeem it, because they only offer magazines and traveling. Unless, you want to redeem a Red Lobster coupon every QUARTER. I'm sorry. I don't want to spend $1200 on Red Lobster. I have contacted them many times regarding my redemption. They refuse to pay me in cash. Even though I have explained I don't travel or read magazines and that $1200 for just Red Lobster certificates is ridiculous. I know they could just give me the money, if they wanted to. But, they refuse. I've consider reporting them to their local BBB. But, I'm not sure what this would accomplish. Do not deal with this panel.

Account Closed W 100's E-Rewards Unredeemed

July 6, 2018 by Michelle from United States

Like many others, I'd done surveys for years. Many times I didn't get credited properly and had to fight for the compensation I later rec'd on some of those. Then I log in to redeem some rewards (I'd racked up hundreds) and got a message my account was closed due to inactivity - I'd used it 3 days before! After contacting customer service I was told she would unlock my account if I provided my birthday and address. I did so then was told my account was suspended permanently due to them suspecting I didn't answer the surveys accurately!! I've requested phone number to speak with someone but so far nada!!

Warning

April 5, 2018 by Naomi from United States

BBB has issued alert on Research Now Group/eRewards

Been a member since 2009 when AirTran invited me to join. And, again, I joined via Southwest (using a different email for a separate account). The rewards used to be decent but some of the participating retailers have stopped working with eRewards (e.g. eMiles). You can only redeem once within a certain period for any one retailer (e.g. 6 months + 1 day). You may accumulate more points than you can ever redeem. And, if for some reason you change your phone number or retailers who recommended you merge, you can no longer redeem any points. There are serious enough flaws with the program and application that I would not recommend doing more than 1 survey a week, since you can only redeem once in 6 months for your favorite participating retailer.

BBB shows 173 complaints with 14 unanswered. BBB has issued the following

"On July 20, 2017, BBB notified Research Now Group of its concerns prompted by patterns in complaints alleging the business closed, deactivated, froze, suspended, locked-out, or terminated the consumers' e-Rewards accounds without warning, notice, or cause, making it impossible for consumers to redeem their e-Reward currency/opinion points. While, some complaintants who were able to redeem their points alleged the business failed to deliver the promised compensation. Many complaints also alleged that Research Now Group failed to respond to customer calls and emails.

BBB requested the firm's voluntary cooperation in eliminating the identified patterns.

On July 25, 2017, BBB received response from Research Now Group advising BBB that the firm had implemented some changes in policy to address the underlying cause of these types of complaints."
