Survey Taking Experience

Collect Your Points

Most OneOpinion surveys pay the points equivalent of $1 to $5 ($1 = 1,000 points), so you’ll hit the 25,000 point threshold needed to start redeeming your rewards quickly if you are an active member of the panel.

When new online surveys become available, you'll be e-mailed a survey invitation which will state the topic of the survey, the number of points offered for completing it, as well as the approximate time it'll take to complete. Even if you end up getting screened out of a survey, One Opinion will still reward you with points! This will help you reach your rewards goals faster.

Earn Points for Disqualifications

If you get screened out or are disqualified from an online survey, OneOpinion will still compensate you. Earn up to 250 points per day (50 points x 5 disqualifications) for screen outs.

Get Your Points Immediately!

After you complete an online survey, your reward points will instantly be loaded into your account. These points can be traded in towards great rewards from the OneOpinion Rewards Program.

Take Part in LOTS of Surveys

If you qualify, and your profile matches the studies criteria, there may be a new survey for you to take every day. Partner surveys are also available, which will help match you to additional studies.

Lousy!

September 17, 2017 by Curtis from United States

It's impossible to qualify for surveys from this company. You do get 50 whole points for only the first 5 surveys you take and are disqualified for. Wow, such an incentive! Most of the surveys screen you out without even asking you preliminary questions and also have problems loading, or you get a message that you've already taken the survey (alright then, take it out of the system, then).

I'm thinking about leaving altogether since it's nearly impossible to get any points anymore.

Hi Curtis,

Thank you for writing in, and apologies for any survey issues you experienced. Please keep in mind that our surveys come from many different clients and sources, many of whom are looking for some very specific demographics and target markets in their survey responses. These surveys grab some cursory data from your panel profile when they are opened, and based on that information, they will allow you to answer further survey questions, or disqualify you immediately.

The pre-screening portion of every survey is intended to either qualify or disqualify you from the survey within 1-4 minutes. Sometimes you will be disqualified based on age. Other times, based on physical location. Other times still, based on shopping habits, etc. It all depends what info the client is looking for at the time. There are also times where you will be automatically disqualified because the client already has the number of survey responses they need.

Note that some survey clients can access your OneOpinion profile window upon the survey opening, which is why you are sometimes disqualified with no further questions being asked.

We apologize also for your frustration with the disqualification system. This DQ point system is fairly new to OneOpinion, as we did not previously offer an incentive for surveys attempted but not completed. We are accepting feedback and comments on this system, and will keep this in mind when making further adjustments.

We are also always looking for feedback on our surveys and routing systems, so we can continue to make improvements. If there is anything else we can assist with, don't hesitate to contact us!

Best,

Cut from surveys for no reason

September 15, 2017 by Margaret from United States

Contacted customer service and they gave me some compact letter saying I violated terms. Not true. Was doing surveys up until yesterday. I have fifteen dollars worth of points and they won't help. Used to be a great company. Now I won't recommend them at all. Sad :(

Hi Margaret,

We apologize again for the ongoing account issues you have experienced with OneOpinion. Per our message to you, we use a variety of third party tools and systems in order to properly validate the identities of our members, and to prevent fraudulent/malicious activity on the website. Unfortunately, one of these systems was identifying the device being used to take surveys as operating outside the US. We worked with our tech team to make some adjustments to how your device was being identified, and you should now be able to participate in surveys again with no further issues.

We do appreciate your patience during this process, and value you as a OneOpinion member. Hopefully this resolution will work for you! If there is anything else we can assist with, please feel free to reach out!

Best,
-Alex P

Sad to see it go...

September 11, 2017 by Jennifer from United States

Downhill. Many survey rewards are half or even less than what they used to be. I just saw a 15 minute survey that pays 500 points. That's 50 cents for 15 minutes. I can't.

Used to be great

September 11, 2017 by Leah from United States

They changed their pay scale. They used to pay $2 for every 20 minute survey and $2 for about 60% of the 15 minute surveys. Now they only pay $1 for all 15 minute surveys and $1 for about 95% of the 20 minute surveys. It's a huge bummer. Now I only use "Quick Thoughts " for surveys they pay $2 for every survey no matter how long or short.

Hi Leah,

Thank you for offering your feedback, and apologies for any issues you experienced with the point scale. Our goal is to provide you with the most surveys possible and in order to do this, we might offer less than 1000 points on some surveys. The reward amounts are based on the topic, length and how specific the respondent should be (i.e. lives in Omaha, and drives a Subaru, etc.). We have thousands of clients that depend on us for their market research needs both small and large. Rest assured that we will continue to offer points well above 1000 as we usually do along with all other amounts you're used to seeing. We are listening to you and all of our Members, so thank you for writing in. If we can answer any other questions, feel free to write in or call us 24/7!

Best,

Enjoy 50 cents for 15 minutes of your time!

September 9, 2017 by Pawel from United States

Used to be one of the good guys, but around July and August they decreased payouts dramatically. It's one thing to reduce from 1000 points to 900 or 800, but to cut most surveys in HALF to 500 points is ludicrous. I can maybe understand 5 minute or maybe even 10 minute surveys paying out 500 points (equivalent to 50 cents), but they've started giving out 500 points for 15-20 minute surveys from the worst survey companies out there. Ugam, LRW, Opinion Sphere are the absolute worst offenders, either kicking you out after ridiculously long screeners, or just being endless repetitive. Know which surveys to avoid and *maybe* the site will be worth your time.

I will say that the customer service is generally great and very helpful, but I just hope they reconsider lowering the incentives so much. One of the reasons I started doing surveys with One Opinion was because they offered more than other survey sites. But now they've gotten to a point where they actually offer less.
