It’s 2022, and you know what that means! A new year means we get to pick who our top survey sites of 2022 will be!

This is the 9th year choosing 5 sites who we think anyone interested in online surveys should consider joining. If you’re already familiar with online surveys but are looking for something new, take a look at our selections – there might be one or two sites in there that may be new to you.

How did we go about picking the top survey sites of 2022? By using the following criteria:

  • Overall reputation among SurveyPolice users (as based on user reviews)
  • Changes in sentiment expressed in user reviews over the past year
  • Rewards offered to survey takers as well as overall user experience
  • Customer service attentiveness

Top Site #1: PaidViewpoint

paidviewpoint website
PaidViewpoint is yet again our top choice for the top survey site of 2022. Anyone who follows SurveyPolice will be familiar with this site, as it’s been a top selection of ours for 7 years now! Read on to find out why we like them so much.

Why we like PaidViewpoint:

PaidViewpoint is reliable – plain and simple. It’s the way a survey site should be; take surveys in exchange for cash, which you can receive in the form of a PayPal payment or gift card. The site is transparent, easy to understand and is open to users around the world.

What it’s like taking surveys for them:

After joining PaidViewpoint, you’ll receive a $1.00 credit to your account. Your account will show how many surveys are available for you to take, and once you’ve taken $15 worth, you can redeem your earnings for PayPal payment or an e-gift card (available in some countries). You’ll receive your reward within 72 hours of requesting it.

  • Earn PayPal payments (or e-gift cards from Walmart or Amazon in Canada and the USA) for completing surveys.
  • You won’t get disqualified from a survey; the amount you earn may vary though, as if you take it sooner rather than later, you may earn more.
  • Earn a small amount of money every day by completing daily ‘trait surveys’. These aren’t meant to be a substitute for full-fledged surveys, but they can help inch you closer to a payout.
  • After your first $15 payment, you can redeem a reward with just $10 in your account, after which the minimum payout is then lowered to just $5 worth of earnings (provided your account is in good standing).

PaidViewpoint has well over 1700 x 5 star reviews on SurveyPolice, making it one of the most popular and well-liked survey panels by survey takers worldwide. They continually strive for excellence by asking their members for feedback and then improving their survey taking experiences by making them as smooth, easy and simple as possible.

Rewards offered:

Cash paid via PayPal (which is issued in US dollars, regardless of your country of residence), and in the USA and Canada, Amazon and Walmart e-gift cards may be available.

Eligibility:

Survey takers worldwide are eligible to join PaidViewpoint (though people in English speaking countries will experience the most success with the site).

Top Site #2: PrizeRebel

prizerebel website
PrizeRebel is also a top pick of ours for people looking to make money online. They don’t just offer surveys – they have a variety of different ways for users to earn on their website. They have demonstrated that they care about customer service and they are careful to partner with survey providers who give a quality experience to their users.

Why we like PrizeRebel:

Their website is well laid out and easy to understand. They offer timely payments, good customer service, and are open to users worldwide.

What it’s like taking surveys/earning rewards with them:

PrizeRebel partners with survey providers to offer a wide range of survey opportunities from a variety of different sources. Your country of residence will determine which survey providers you see, but common ones include Dynata & Opinionworld, Peanut Labs, Your Surveys, and Daily Gold. Every survey will list the number of points you’ll receive for completing it, along with the estimated time it will take to complete.

PrizeRebel offers earning opportunities besides surveys including completing offers via offer walls, watching videos, referring friends and copying and pasting free points codes they post on social media.

  • Earn points redeemable for a massive selection of rewards; everything from PayPal cash, to gift cards from big providers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, to more unique offerings such as gift cards for gas, Visa pre-paid cards, restaurant gift cards, and more.
  • Permanently level up (not difficult to do) by earning points. Once you reach Diamond status, reward processing times become instant, amounts earned for anyone you refer jump from 15% to 30% and prize discounts and special bonuses are applied to your account.
  • Members who complete the most surveys or offers within a set period receive bonus points (click on ‘Contests’ to view your current rank).
  • Fun contests and raffles offered; win points in the weekly ‘Lucky Numbers’ jackpot and participate in raffles where you can win gift cards simply by buying a ticket with a handful of points.
  • Prizerebel regularly posts free points codes on social media. Pasting these codes into your account is literally all it takes to get free points which are directly redeemable for rewards.

Rewards offered:

PayPal payments, massive selection of e-gift cards, pre-paid credit cards.

Eligibility:

PrizeRebel is available to users worldwide who are 16+.

Top Site #3: Tellwut

tellwut website

Tellwut has a uniqueness that most survey sites don’t have – one of community. The site, which now has over 1 million ‘voters’, has grown a lot in the last year, in part due to adding PayPal as a rewards option – something participants had been asking for for years. Their reliability continues to make them a favorite among survey takers, demonstrated by their stable position as a top survey site (as chosen by reviewers) on SurveyPolice, for years.

Why we like Tellwut:

They are quick to respond to support tickets (and are friendly too!), they offer daily earning opportunities, and they have an engaging community with fun member contests.

What it’s like taking surveys for them:

Tellwut is a community polling and survey site with two main ways of earning; you can create and take short surveys/polls which are available to the community (you can also view polling results and discuss the poll). Or, you can take part in partner surveys, which is the quickest way to build up your points balance.

  • Log in to your account for daily survey opportunities, listed under the ‘Most Recent’ tab.
  • Interact with the Tellwut community by participating and creating fun polls featuring discussions on a huge variety of topics. The ‘Online Survey of the Day’ is posted to the homepage and gets thousands of votes with active discussions, making it an interesting read.
  • Longer external surveys (partner surveys) offer the most points, but can take a few attempts to qualify for.
  • Tellwut continually engages their community of users via contests and giveaways that are held very regularly on their social media accounts. You can win free points or gift cards with little effort.
  • Request a gift card with as little as $10 worth of points. PayPal payments are available with $25 worth of earnings. Tellwut is known for issuing their rewards in a very timely manner (often within 24-48 hours of request).

Rewards offered:

PayPal payments, Visa and Mastercard pre-paid cards, gift cards including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, among many others. Gift cards are available in both physical and e-gift card formats.

Eligibility:

Residents of the USA and Canada.

Joining Bonus! Tellwut is currently offering a 250 point sign up bonus to new members who complete their profile. » Click here to claim your bonus!

Top Site #4: Branded Surveys

branded surveys website
It’s hard not to hear about Branded Surveys these days, as their site has grown by leaps and bounds – especially in the last year. That may be in part because they lowered their minimum rewards cash out from $10 to $5, revamped their loyalty program, and continue to refine their slick, easy to understand surveys platform.

Why we like Branded Surveys:

Branded Surveys is one of the quickest survey sites to earn a payment from. New members get 100 points for joining ($1 worth) and with just 500 points ($5) required to request a reward, taking $4 worth of surveys doesn’t take long. There is always plenty of survey inventory available, and bonuses offered via their loyalty program generously reward members who use the site regularly. Their prize catalog is extensive and covers most rewards that any survey taker would want.

What it’s like taking surveys for them:

Branded offers tons of paid survey opportunities on their platform. Surveys are on a wide variety of topics (automotive, tv, finance, politics, etc.) and are as engaging as possible. If you encounter difficulty with a survey, you can report it straight from your dashboard and customer service will respond to your ticket within a reasonable time frame.

  • Take $5 worth of surveys and get rewarded in cash (via PayPal or bank transfer) or choose an e-gift card which can be used in-store or online.
  • The more surveys you complete, the more bonuses you get. Complete 12 or more surveys per week and earn a minimum 5% bonus (15% max), depending on your badge color.
  • Earn an easy 5 points every day by taking the quick poll available on your Branded Surveys dashboard.
  • The top survey takers earn even more; the daily, weekly and monthly top participants earn bonus points awarded to their accounts; click on the ‘Leaderboard’ link in your account to see where you rank.
  • Receive your reward quickly – usually within 2 business days.
Sneak preview: Branded Surveys is currently working on an option for instant payments!

Rewards offered:

Cash payments via PayPal payments or bank transfer (via Branded Pay – USA only), pre-paid Visa and Mastercards, digital gift cards to a huge variety of stores including Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, and many more.

Eligibility:

Residents of USA, UK, and Canada.

Joining Bonus! Branded Surveys is currently offering a $1.00 (100 point) sign up bonus to new members. » Click here to claim your bonus!

Top Site #5: ACOP

American Consumer Opinion (ACOP) website

A new addition to our top picks list, ACOP has been around for a VERY long time. ACOP (short for American Consumer Opinion) is in fact one of the very first survey panels to go online – back in 1996! Fast forward 25 years (if you can believe it!) and ACOP is still around, but with a sense of renewal – something they were lacking a few years ago.

Why we like ACOP:

ACOP has a very longstanding history and has awarded over $30 million in cash payments to their members. They have always welcomed people from around the world to join their panel (though people in the USA, Canada, and UK will have the most success with it) and they’ve had over 20 million survey completions to date. Complete surveys for cash redeemable via PayPal or to your Hyperwallet.

What it’s like taking surveys for them:

Paid surveys are offered regularly, along with periodic opportunities to participate in product testing. Surveys are emailed, though you can also log in to your dashboard to view all studies available to you at any given time. Once you’ve taken $10 worth of surveys, you can request a cash payment, or donate your earnings to charity if you wish.

  • Most surveys take just 10 minutes to complete and will state their topic, points awarded and time for completion.
  • Survey screeners (very short surveys that help qualify you for longer ones) award 5-50 points, or entries into monthly prize drawings (for prizes such as $100 Amazon gift cards).
  • ACOP conducts their own market research and offers periodic product testing opportunities and assignments involving testing new advertising, in addition to paid surveys.
  • Earn cash for your opinions; when you have $10 worth of earnings in your account (1000 points), you can request a PayPal payment, a payment to your Hyperwallet, or a shot at winning a prize in a sweepstakes (see below).
  • Feeling lucky? You can use your points toward sweepstakes entries that give you a chance at winning prizes such as $100 gift cards. You don’t need to have 1000 worth of points in your account for this redemption option.

Rewards offered:

Cash payments via PayPal and Hyperwallet. Alternatively, use your points towards sweepstakes entries for prizes, or donate them to charity.

Eligibility:

Everyone 14+ around the world is welcome to join the panel.

What Changed from Last Year’s Rankings

The biggest change from 2021’s rankings to this year’s was the removal of Prolific. Prolific had been on our list for many years, but the last couple of years (and in 2021 in particular), they have experienced some growing pains. Users have reported seeing fewer studies available, or only seeing studies with very low incentives. Customer service is slow to respond and new users are being asked to upload a driver’s license and selfie to a third party to verify their identity. This seems overly obtrusive, as other survey sites guard against fraud by using methodology that is less invasive and potentially less problematic. Although many users still report having a good experience with Prolific, the dramatic increase in members modifying their SurveyPolice reviews compelled us to remove the site from this year’s top 5 list.

ACOP is a new addition, as they appear to have re-focused on improving their panel this past year. As one of the oldest online survey panels in existence (and a very successful one at that!), they seemed to hit some roadblocks a few years ago with regards to issuing payments and the expectation from panelists that this process be faster. They have since stopped issuing payments via check, and have modernized their payment system to include PayPal and Hyperwallet. They continue to update their platform, breathing new life into what was once a huge star in the survey world a number of years ago. We are excited to see what more they have in store for their community in 2022!
